Urgent! - Powakaddy lithium battery recall
PowaKaddy International Ltd. is voluntarily recalling a batch of lithium batteries manufactured in the middle of 2012 which were fitted to their discontinued 2012 Sports and Digital models. Only some of these batteries with a serial number starting with "BKD", "BKE" and "BKS" are affected and Powakaddy has set up a website www.pkrecall.com on which customers can check whether they have a battery that they wish to recall. If it is one sold by Powakaddy through me, they will replace it free of charge and will make arrangements through that website to do so promptly. Therefore, if you have bought a lithium battery with the markings beginning BKD, BKE or BKS after May 2012, please go to www.pkrecall.com or Freephone 0800 088 7981 to check.

What is a "flyer"? If you've ever wondered what a flyer is, wonder no more. A flyer is a shot that comes off of the clubface with significantly less spin than normal and makes the ball travel faster through the air and with significantly less bend on the shot as a result of having less spin. Generally, a flyer occurs when a shot is played from the rough and it normally occurs when you have the rough growing in the same direction as your line of play and when you have grass immediately in front of the ball (i.e. the opposite side of the impact area). When this occurs, the aforementioned grass will reduce the spin on the ball significantly making it come out "hot", but what you have to consider is A. will you get a flyer? And B. what effect will that have on the ball? So, if you're a player who has a lot of draw or fade on their shots, one of the things you'll have to do is allow for a much straighter ball flight and of course, a substantial increase in how far the ball goes.
