Fabulous new Polo Ralph Lauren & RLX men's clothing
I'm delighted to tell you that I now have this season's fabulous new men's Polo Ralph Lauren and RLX clothing in the Pro Shop. All of the clothing is absolutely first class and not only looks great, but also comes with our super club logo. Please pop in soon to check out this fantastic brand!
ECCO and FootJoy shoes
Please look out for some fantastic new ECCO shoes for both men and ladies as well as the terrific new DNA shoe from FootJoy. These shoe manufacturers have really upped their games this year and this year's styles look and feel great, so if you're looking for a great-fitting, super-comfortable pair of shoes, look no further!
Next week sees the first golf major of the year played at Augusta as the Masters kicks off. If you'd like to add a bit of fun to your Masters' weekend, why not come in and take part in my Masters' Sweep? You simply pay £10 and a player will be picked at random for you and you'll be notified of which player you were drawn before the event starts. If your chosen player finishes in the top three, you will win £250 for first, £150 for second or £100 for third which will be added to your Pro Shop account. Please pop into the Pro Shop for more terms and conditions.
Club cleaning service
With relatively little golf going on at the moment, now is the time to look at your equipment and how best you can improve it. So why not drop in your clubs to us and allow us to:
Scrub the grips with a stiff brush and plenty of hot, soapy water. This will help clear the grips of any unwanted dirt and grime and will make them feel a whole lot better.
Give the metal shafts a rub down with some very fine wire wool but ONLY IF THEY'RE STEEL SHAFTS! This will help get rid of any pitted areas and make them shine again. If they're graphite shafts, we'll take off any blemishes in another fashion.
And finally, why not clean the clubheads with that same hot, soapy water? Maybe there's some grooves lurking under there somewehere. ;)
All this for just £10 (up to a maximum of 14 clubs).
So there's plenty happening in the Pro Shop and remember, as YOUR Club professional, I'd really appreciate it if you came to me first if you've seen something you'd like but it's not in the Pro Shop. In just about every case, I will be able to either match or most likely beat the price you've been quoted and not only that, if a fault develops, I'll deal with it quickly and efficiently and always with your best interests at heart.
Remember; "People who know, come to their Pro!"
When playing in the wind, play the course as if it has a roof over it.
My goodness; what an unbelievably windy week it's been and if you hadn't noticed, it plays havoc with your shots, so try playing the course like it has a roof over it. In other words, hit the ball as low as possible and bump it along the ground! Good luck!
